Lake Placid Horse Shows Gearing Up for Two Weeks of CSI3* Competition
Preparations are continuing for the 2025 Lake Placid Horse Shows (LPHS), Sponsored by Bainbridge Farms, LLC, and Presented by Sea Shore Stables, LLC, which will feature two weeks of world-class FEI CSI3* competition at the newly renovated North Elba Showgrounds, June 24-July 6.

The new FEI classes highlight the horse show’s schedule, which also includes junior and amateur jumper classes and hunter and equitation divisions. The FEI classes were added in response to an overwhelming number of requests from exhibitors. The FEI classes include two $100,000 grand prix, and the horse show offers over $700,000 total prize money.
“We are excited about our upgraded showgrounds and new FEI schedule,” said Philip Richter, Chairman of the LPHS. “We are getting incredible feedback from virtually everyone we talk to; this will be a whole new experience for all exhibitors, owners, and sponsors!”
FEI highlights during the Lake Placid Horse Show (June 24-29) tentatively include Thursday’s $5,000 3* Two-Phase, Friday’s $45,000 3* Jump-off, Saturday’s $32,000 3* Speed Class, and Sunday’s $100,000 Grand Prix of Lake Placid. FEI highlights for the I Love New York Horse Show (July 1-6) include Wednesday’s $5,000 3* Two-Phase, Thursday’s $45,000 3* Jump-off, Friday’s $32,000 Speed Class, and Saturday’s $100,000 Richard M. Feldman Grand Prix.
In addition to its FEI schedule, LPHS will continue to host world-class competition for all levels of riders and horses, including USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) Northeast events, Green Hunter Incentive classes, hunter and jumper classics, and classes that are part of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series and North American League (NAL). Tentative schedules and a list of show officials are available on the LPHS website.
Exhibitors in every division will be competing on newly renovated showgrounds, which include reconstructed show rings with state-of-the-art all-weather footing installed by Travis Gould and his JTWG, Inc. team, who are working closely with horse show manager Allen Rheinheimer. Improvements are also being made to the stabling and schooling areas. Highlights include a resurfaced all-weather grand prix ring, an expanded jumper ring, two new hunter rings and a dedicated FEI exercise ring.
LPHS continues to work closely with the town of Lake Placid to improve the overall facilities for multiple events. “The town realizes and appreciates the gigantic economic impact the horse shows have on the town,” Richter said.
“They are partnering with us in a big way to improve our facilities. This year’s improvements are only the first step in a multi-year plan. Following this year’s horse show, the town plans to replace the current VIP deck with a brand new one. Many more improvements are on the way, and we are committed to making Lake Placid the best horse show in America!”
