Juan Vegas Win The Ridge's Week 5 Rising Star Classic
Venezuela's Juan Vegas and Clarisimo made it quite clear that they came to win during Week 5 at The Ridge at Wellington Groves! Their 35.433 second jump-off was the fastest of the class, securing them the win in Wednesday's $5,000 1.30M Rising Star Classic.
Second went to Pau Krapp and Jokokus in a time of 35.866 and third went to Sloane Coles and Kilimanjaro with 36.053.
"I love The Ridge because it’s a very friendly show for everyone," said Vegas. The competition is amazing; you have the pleasure to jump against top Olympic riders and it’s really good for developing horses up to the Grand Prix level. This was my 2nd show at The Ridge and for sure I’ll be back! Wednesday's courses were great, Leopoldo is a great designer and likes to test the rider and horse in a very friendly way. My ride was very good, we planned the course strategically with my coach Pablo Barrios with the goal of winning. I’m really excited for Friday's $15,000 1.40M Grand Prix!
Full of new faces (both horse and human), the Rising Star is designed as a welcome class for those with Grand Prix aspirations and lay a foundation for the development of horses and riders in the sport.
All of the classes at The Ridge's weekly show series are geared towards this vision, from their .60M Itty Bitty Jumpers on Friday afternoons to the $15,000 1.40M Grand Prix and busy monthly Schooling Shows.

About The Ridge
The Ridge is a top hunter/jumper show stable and international Horse Show Venue co-founded by United States Olympic show jumping rider/trainer Nona Garson and George D'Ambrosio.
The Ridge at Riverview, located in Asbury, New Jersey, hosts year round events with their first winter series being held in 2025, while The Ridge at Wellington Groves hosts 12+ weeks of hunter, jumper, equitation, and schooling competition every year from December - March.
The Ridge also offers seasonal stalls, clinics, training, and more in both their Florida and New Jersey locations.
