Fascinating
I like to scout around on good old internet forums to see what is cooking in the world. Facebook groups could probably also be a good idea for such a thing but.. then you have to be an actual member, and I left Facebook long time ago.
Anyhow, it always fascinates me what people find interesting,
Lately anything dressage, and or sport washing seem to be the targets of discussion on one of the forums I tend to visit.
I can totally relate in why these topics gets big, on a message board. I also wonder why people, me too, seem to forget the basics of everything equestrianism, the things that aren't top sport but maybe the love for horses!
The other week me and my significant other watched a real life TV-series where the people in the show went out riding. Doing so they were riding on complete normal horses.
You know bomb proof, level headed, good size riding horses that probably would fit any type of rider.
Even though the expense of horses, and also keeping them have sky rocketed over the past five years I seriously wonder what will happen in the horse industry the next coming five to ten years.
Will we still be able to find horses that fits any rider out there?
Will the "hobby riders" still exist? Will the top sport still exist, and at what cost?
In daily life I see more and more people seeking tranquility for themselves. People move to the country side, people leave their countries to set up camp remotely in, according to current modern European standards, almost no mans land.
Will equestrian sport follow? Is it possible to reset things and get that joy for horses back in people's minds?
Will the love for horses get people back to the riding schools, pony camp, and even work as volunteers at the local riding club, with hopes of seeing a top name flash by in the starting field?
Any thoughts on this? Don't forget to forward it to a friend and also share your thoughts in the comment section. I promise not to bite 🤗
