The FEI Dressage World Cup qualifier will take place on the morning of Friday, February 21, with World Cup points awarded during the freestyle competition on the morning of Saturday, February 22.

Sweden's new national coach Stefan Jansson has selected three Swedish riders to compete for World Cup points: Maria von Essen, Carl Hedin, and Mads Hendeliowitz.

Last year, Maria von Essen and Invoice finished second in the FEI Dressage World Cup behind Domien Michiels and Intermezzo van het Meerdalhof from Belgium.

Since then, they have served as Olympic reserves in Paris and secured third place at the 2024/25 World Cup season opener in Herning, Denmark. Now, she is more than ready to face the home crowd once again.

"We only have great memories from last year, which was absolutely crazy. And now we have so much more experience than before. He feels very energetic, happy, and fresh," says Maria von Essen.

As the FEI Dressage World Cup nears the end of its season, with final spots up for grabs, only one more qualifier remains after Gothenburg. Dressage will take over the impressive Scandinavium arena in just over a week.
